October opening announcement:
Beginning with the beer/wine/goodies opening October 10th, 6-9pm, The Art Gallery of Willoughby, Ohio will feature the allusion-saturated, surrealistic sculpture of Leslie Edwards Humez alongside George Kocar’s lively and politically charged social commentary: his is contemporary cubism at it’s most edgy and alluring. And don't miss George's watercolor work, a lovely departure from his customary adventures in acrylics.
“Be In The Art” photographer Zack Hoon will work live in the gallery on opening night, October 10th, and display a mosaic taken from first night visitor’s photos at our second opening November 22nd. Willoughby's own Marilyn Dolence’s infrared, x-ray and other intuitive photos are a sure favorite along with the mouthwatering architectural watercolors of Ted Lawson, whose work adds the soft edge of romance to the mix. You’ll also get a peek into the psyche of cartoonist Nick Humez who will share his own peculiar brand of irony.
