Hi! I'm Leslie, the resident pop-surrealist and free spirit here and I Iove what I do. C-19 notices.
It has been said that men tell jokes and women tell stories. My specialty is creating visual tales that rely on metaphor, allusion and the occasional word gag. I sculpt in clay and paint with custom acrylics and Day-Glo fluorescents, and also use glow-in-the dark formulations and powdered pigments. I work hard to push my own boundaries by experimenting using common materials in uncommon ways. When I sit down at the bench and let the clay talk, I'm as surprised to see the results as you are! Watching an idea come to life in my own hands is a powerful and profoundly humbling experience. I've been chosen to create public and privately commissioned works and thanks to the Fates, some of what I've dreamed up has been exhibited on four continents. I have my dad and many others to thank for the support and encouragement along the way. Whether it's food for thought, a promotional mascot or just bringing out a bogeyman, ask me how I can coax the clay into your dream reality. Write here for a free no strings, consultation. ![]() Leslie Edwards Humez is a Cleveland native living in Lake County who creates sculpture, public art, and commissioned works. Hats Off to the Farmingdale man (S.M. Sr.) who wrote in to say that he was vexed by a misspelled word on this site. He failed, however, to mention on which of these 400 pages it was located.

Some of my work is seen on these pages, but much of what I did for fun in 2019 involved an amazing collaboration with my friend and fellow monster-maker extraordinaire PJ Halliwill. We decided to pass small sculptures back and forth between us until complete. The result was a bunch of amazing work. The remainder will be introduced at the new Monster Lounge.art ecommerce site, coming in June of 2020. Here's a sample of a piece of small work I created from her original Valentine. What a team! So grateful for the experience! ![]() 2019
