Leslie Edwards Humez...

...is a Cleveland native living in Lake County who learned to love clay from her father who made critters for her every day after he came home from work. She was later intimidated and inspired for life while auditing classes at The Cooper School by the immortal Viktor Schrekengost to whom she credits with widening her imagination.  All other education at CSU and LCC was of necessity and had little to do with art.  Leslie spent a good bit of her adult life in the publishing business where she distinguished herself by being one of the first women to open employment doors in a field filled entirely with men...and come out alive.  She was the first female regional circulation manager for the #1 men's magazine, Penthouse.  Leslie has one incredible son Matthew Edwards, Animal Specialist at Cleveland Botanic Garden,  and is married to sculptor/author/polymath Nick Humez.  At 70, she still works every day doing what she loves.  Leslie is an active member of Artist Archives of the Western Reserve and Northers Ohio Illustrators Society.
