Leslie Edwards Humez
-sculpture, public art, commissions and visual excursions into the language of imagination-
I'm a pop-surrealist and Iove what I do.
It has been said that men tell jokes and women tell stories. My specialty is creating visual tales that rely on metaphor, allusion and the occasional word gag. I sculpt in clay, paint with custom acrylics, illustrate with graphite and strive to push my own boundaries by experimenting using common materials in uncommon ways. Watching an idea come to life in my own hands is a powerful and profoundly humbling experience. I've been chosen to create public and privately commissioned works and some of what I've dreamed up has been exhibited on four continents. Whether it's food for thought, a promotional mascot or just bringing out a bogeyman, let me help you turn your dreams into reality. Inquire. Leslie Edwards Humez is a Cleveland native living in Lake County who creates sculpture, public art, a growing line of silk scarves and commissioned works. Many are available at Gallery Plus, 78th Street Studios, Cleveland, and occasionally in other galleries around town. iShop reviewed me at The Art Gallery. Literary Art
